I just got an email from the Pop Culture Editor at The Independent:
Hi Rebecca,
I agree -- you do seem to have a unique place in our arts world here. I just got back from a trip overseas so I am getting my ducks in a row for the next couple days. Please call me next week and maybe we can meet up and set you up with some intern duties.

Seriously though, folks, we gotta give the man a little credit.

While he may be a pretentious jerk only banking on his limited connection with one famous writer (benefactor to his less-than-spectacular literary magazine) to launch his career, at least he writes articles on the hairbrain. Showing love to local music. Representing.

No, but really, I respect the guy. He's doing what a lot of people say they would like to do but never actually take the initiative to go out and DO IT. And...uh...heh remember the time he sucked face with Mira?
